Continuing education is extremely important to our management and our service staff. Our staff is certified and attends yearly updates in all facets of marine technology including Mercruiser, Mercury outboards, Honda outboards, Volvo-Penta stern drives, Sealand Vacuflush Technologies, Ocean Options Air Conditioning Systems, Spader Service Management and Mercury University’s Exceeding Customer  Expectations programs.

Mercury Premier Service

Mercury evaluates the service performance of its dealers and assigns its highest rating of “Mercury Premier” to those demonstrating an exceptional commitment to service. Earning a Mercury Premier Service rating means Shep Browns Boat Basin:

  •  Achieves a 12-month service CSI score above the national average.
  •  Possesses all necessary service tools, test equipment, manuals and   parts books.
  •  Employs Certified or Master technicians.
  •  Provides timely service for all Mercury Marine customers.
  •  Offers extended service hours and mobile service, when appropriate.
  • Uses, displays and stocks adequate inventory of genuine Mercury Precision Parts.
  • Offers a clean, neat shop with well-organized tools and service literature.

Fiberglass / Paint Shop
Our in-house fiberglass and paint shop can keep your boat looking like new for years to come. From fixing minor gelcoat damage to performing major stringer and transom replacements, our fiberglass specialists are available to get the job done. Other common jobs include complete interior and exterior detailing, wetsanding, buffing and painting exteriors to recondition your boat if a new one isn’t an option. These projects are all scheduled through our service department.

Upholstery & Canvas 
As part of reconditioning your older boat, we offer complete upholstery and canvas repairs and replacement. With the best local vendors in and out of our shops weekly, we can offer our customer’s custom or factory replacement upholstery, carpet and canvas repairs. Contact our service department to discuss details.

Convenience
Our service department is open seven days a week. We can schedule a pick up or drop off at your convenience. We’re there when you need us with experienced and qualified staff to keep you on the water.

Warranties
Our manufacturers offer some of the best warranties in the business. With our available extended warranty programs, you can rest assured knowing that you will be taken care of if something unexpected happens to your new boat.
